Short Bio: The band formed when will.i.am (Will Adams) and apl.de.ap (Allan Pineda) met whilst in school. They soon began performing rap locally in Los Angeles. They were first signed to the record label run by Easy-E (Ruthless Records) who was a leading rap artist, and who previously had been a part of NWA. Their debut album was 'Behind the Front', released in 1998, a full six years since they signed with Ruthless Records. The early nineties were dominated by gangsta rap artists. The musical style of Black Eyed Peas was at odds with this genre, which probably explains the six years it took them to release an album. The year 2003 saw the bands first global hit, since then they have continued to build upon that success, with numerous worldwide hits and number one's in the UK and US national charts.

Popular Songs: Boom Boom Pow, My Humps, I Gotta Feeling, Don't Phunk With My Heart.
