talent spotted by the rapper Akon. She was signed to his record
label. To date (2010) she has only released two albums, 'The Fame'
and 'The Fame Monster'. However, she has been labeled as one of
the most influential current pop stars. Her outfits and stage performances
have been outlandish, often eliciting a lot of press attention.
Many critics have likened her style as a throwback to the glam artists
of the seventies. Whether Lady Gaga can build upon her current success,
only time will tell. But, as of 2010, there are few artists which
garner as much controversy and attention as she does.
