Short Bio: Pink Floyd's innovative creativity is often lauded within the music industry. The 70's and 80's saw them produce some of the most ground breaking albums in music history, such as 'The Dark Side of the Moon' and 'Wish You Were Here'. The band's lineup had altered throughout the years. Most notable when Syd Barret, lead vocals and guitar was replaced by David Gilmour in 1968. It is well documented that after Syd Barrett left the band, he led a private life away from any press attention. After 1975, he never met any band member again. Up until 1968, Barrett was credited with being the lead member of the band. After his departure, it is claimed that Roger Waters took his role, until he left in 1985. Gilmour, Mason and Wright continued to play and record as Pink Floyd. But, relations turned sour as Waters launched a legal case to stop the three recording and performing as Pink Floyd. Only until 2005 did Waters rejoin the band for a performance at Live 8.

Popular Songs: See Emily Play, Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Wish You Were Here.
