Short Bio: Queen are a rock band that recorded hit records
throughout the seventies and nineteen eighties. The lead singer
of the band, Freddie Mercury, died in 1991, and since that date
Queen have rarely recorded. Bass Guitarist, John Deacon, retired
from the band in 1997. Currently the band only has two full time
members. The band rarely perform, but when they do, it is usually
in collaboration with a range of artsts. Queen's biggest single
is 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. The song is often voted as the most popular
single of all time. It was further popularised when it was featured
in the movie 'Wayne's World'. Queen were also renowned for the quality
of their live performance. Queen performed at the Live Aid concert
in nineteen eighty five. It is often rated as the greatest live
rock performance recorded on video. Queen's total recorded album
sales put them within the top 10 grossing artists of all time.
