Short Bio: Jimi Hendrix is noted as one of the greatest
performers of rock and roll. He wrote songs, sang and also played
the guitar. It is his guitar playing that he is most noted and remembered
for. While argument rages over who the greatest electrical guitarist
was, most experts consider Jimi Hendrix the best or amongst the
top five. He is perhaps best remembered for his head lining of the
Woodstock Festival in nineteen sixty nine, and his version of the
'The Star-Spangled Banner'. Dying at the height of his popularity,
Jimi Hendrix has remained an iconic figure of the sixties and rock
in general.
