Short Bio: Michael Jackson became one of, if not the biggest
ever music artist of the twentieth century. Known as the 'King of
Pop', his style crossed many music genre's. He began his career
as part of the Jackson Five, who were mostly a R&B and Soul
boy band. Michael soon branched out as a solo artist, his ground
breaking Off the Wall album combined disco/dance and pop. His follow-up
album, Thriller, became the best-selling album recorded. The style
of Thriller crossed further into mainstream pop. By the release
of Bad and Dangerous, Michael had managed to combine pop, rock and
dance genre's into a worldwide phenomenon. He is also credited with
opening the door for African American to become mainstream music
artists.
